What is UP and OUT?
UP and OUT was founded on the realization that we simply have too much stuff. Homeowners over the years have accumulated possessions that have crowded their attics, basements, and storage units. And no one wants this "stuff"! Parents try to pass down their collectibles to their children but we have learned that the younger generations do not have the need, the desire, or the space to take on their parents' clutter!
So what do we do with this "stuff"?
Well, we have found that garage sales do not usually produce enough money to make it a worthwhile weekend event. Many times basements and storage units accumulate stuff until they gather too many cobwebs and mildew. So the family eventually gets a dumpster to do a one time trash out of everything when they are either tired of the accumulation, or when the family inherits the stuff via an estate. Not only is this a time consuming and costly endeavor, but it may be ecologically irresponsible!

If you have a situation similar to the first image, we can help! We love to get spaces looking like the second image!
Throwing everything into a dump is not our main objective. We look for ways to donate or recycle when possible. We have partnered with several organizations for donations, and we belong to local recycling groups.
Or, if we feel that an item can still be of use to someone, we may even post on a "freecycle" page!
